Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 September 2025
Applies to: tablego.uk and TableGo consumer booking widgets/iFrames hosted on restaurant websites.
1) Purpose & legal framework
This Cookie Policy explains how TableGo Ltd ("TableGo", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Notice (Consumers). We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
Consent is required for non‑essential cookies (e.g., analytics/marketing).
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent (but we disclose them).
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are typically legitimate interests (security/operation) for essential cookies and consent for non‑essential cookies.
2) What are cookies & similar tech?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser. Session cookies expire when you close the browser; persistent cookies remain for a set time. We may also use local storage, pixels, and, in future apps, SDKs that perform similar functions.
3) How we use cookies (categories)
Strictly necessary — security, load balancing, session management, consent storage, and core booking flows. Without these, the site cannot function.
Performance/analytics — measure usage and improve the site (set only with consent).
Functionality — remember preferences (e.g., saved contact details, language).
Advertising/marketing — measure campaigns and (where enabled) show relevant ads across partners (set only with consent).
4) Examples of cookies we use
The exact cookies may change over time. Our Consent Management Platform (CMP) shows the current list.
A. First‑party (set by tablego.uk)

| Channel partners (e.g., Google Reservations, Tripadvisor) | pixels/cookies when interacting with partner flows | Enable or measure partner booking journeys | Varies | Performance/marketing (consent) |
Note: Providers may alter names/durations. Always refer to the CMP cookie table on the site for the authoritative, up‑to‑date list.
5) Managing your choices (CMP, browser, device)
On first visit, we present a cookie banner and CMP where you can accept, reject, or customise non‑essential cookies by category. You can change your choices anytime via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
You can also control cookies via your browser. Instructions: Chrome (Settings → Privacy → Cookies), Firefox (Settings → Privacy & Security), Safari (Settings/Preferences → Privacy), Edge (Settings → Privacy, search, and services).
For interest‑based advertising preferences, see your device settings (mobile) and industry pages like YourOnlineChoices or AboutAds.
6) International transfers
Some cookie providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy decisions (e.g., UK‑US Data Bridge) or SCCs/IDTA with appropriate safeguards.
7) Retention
- Session cookies: deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies: typically up to 12 months (analytics up to 24 months) unless otherwise stated in the CMP.
- Consent records: generally 6–12 months to evidence your choices.
8) Do Not Track & signals
The UK currently has no standard for automatic browser signals (e.g., DNT). We honour your preferences made via our CMP.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and the CMP list to reflect changes in technologies or providers. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
