Terms of service

Last updated: 21 September 2025

Contracting entity: TableGo Ltd ("TableGo", "we", "us").

Applies to: tablego.uk, our consumer booking flows, and our hosted widgets/iFrames on restaurant websites.

1. Introduction

These Website Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of tablego.uk to discover venues, make reservations and, where available, pay deposits or purchase gift cards from participating restaurants (each a Restaurant). By using tablego.uk you agree to these Terms.

2. Our role

2.1 Marketplace platform. We provide technology that connects diners ("you") and Restaurants. We do not own, operate or control Restaurants and are not a party to your contract with a Restaurant.

2.2 Merchant of record. Unless we clearly state otherwise, the Restaurant is the merchant of record for any deposit or gift card you purchase. Their terms (cancellations, no‑shows, validity, redemption, exclusions) apply and will be shown before you pay.

2.3 Accuracy of Restaurant information. Restaurant menus, policies, availability and descriptions are provided by Restaurants. We are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

3. Eligibility; your account

3.1 You must be 16 years or older.

3.2 Some features require an account or contact verification. Keep credentials confidential and ensure your details are accurate and up to date.

3.3 You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Reservations, deposits and gift cards

4.1 Reservations. When you book, you form a contract with the Restaurant. Please check the Restaurant's confirmation and policies carefully.

4.2 Deposits. Deposit amounts, refund/no‑show rules and any time‑bound conditions are set by the Restaurant and shown before you pay. If you cancel or do not attend, the Restaurant's policy governs whether any deposit is retained.

4.3 Gift cards. Gift card validity/expiry, redemption locations, exclusions and refunds are set by the issuing Restaurant and shown before purchase. Keep confirmation emails/QR codes safe.

4.4 Pre‑contract information. We aim to present clear pre‑contract information supplied by Restaurants; however, the Restaurant is responsible for the accuracy of its terms and availability.

5. Payments

5.1 Processor. Card payments are processed by Stripe and/or Stripe Connect. We do not store full card numbers or CVV. Your bank may require additional authentication (SCA/3‑D Secure).

5.2 Receipts & records. You will receive a confirmation for deposits or gift cards purchased. Keep these for your records and redemption.

5.3 Refunds. Refunds (if any) are issued by the Restaurant per its policy. Stripe's own processing fees are generally non‑refundable.

6. Changes, cancellations and no‑shows

6.1 Please arrive on time and notify the Restaurant promptly if you need to cancel or change your reservation.

6.2 Restaurants may impose charges for late cancellations or no‑shows in accordance with their policies shown at booking.

6.3 If you believe a policy has been misapplied, contact the Restaurant first; we can assist with technical records but cannot overrule a Restaurant's policy.

7. Acceptable use & AWS compliance

You must not: (a) misuse booking tools (speculative/duplicate bookings); (b) provide false or misleading information; (c) attempt to access or interfere with others' data; (d) upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content; (e) use automation/scraping except as permitted by law; or (f) attempt to circumvent any payment or fee flows.

7.1 Email communications. Our infrastructure uses Amazon Web Services (AWS). All email communications sent through our platform must comply with the AWS Acceptable Use Policy. We only send transactional emails (booking confirmations, account notifications, receipts). Spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or abusive content is strictly prohibited.

8. User content and reviews

If you submit reviews or other content, you grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content in connection with tablego.uk. You are responsible for your content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.

9. Third‑party channels & links

You may encounter bookings via Google Reservations, Facebook/Instagram, Tripadvisor or other platforms. Their terms and privacy notices apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third‑party sites.

10. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own all intellectual property in tablego.uk and its software. You may not copy, reverse engineer or reuse site content except as permitted by law or by express permission.

11. Accessibility

We aim to make tablego.uk accessible. If you experience barriers, please contact support@tablego.uk.

12. Disclaimer & your statutory rights

12.1 The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error‑free operation.

12.2 Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory law.

13. Liability

13.1 Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13.2 To the maximum extent permitted, our aggregate liability to you for use of tablego.uk is limited to £100. We are not liable for: (a) Restaurant conduct, service quality or availability; (b) indirect or consequential loss; or (c) issues caused by third‑party platforms or networks.

14. Changes to the site and these Terms

We may update tablego.uk and these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice. Continued use indicates acceptance.

15. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts.
