Istanbul Restaurant, Bolton

Absolutely brilliant, the moussaka was delicious. The best I have ever had. The abeience was good, everything clean, we could see the chef working. Our waitress was delightful, nothing was too much trouble. Our first visit and we were very impressed. It will definitely be somewhere we visit regularly on the future.

Lovely interior, comfy seating and great staff. Food was very good and staff also treated son for his birthday, nice touch.

The platter was not as good as when the restaurant was new, however my daughter did enjoy her pide..I thought the Aryan did not look it was homemade and looked like it was a cheap version. Service was very good though and decor fantastic.

On our first visit to the restaurant, we were impressed by the interior and the seating, which was comfortable. However, when we brought out our own alcoholic drinks, as it didn't have a drinks' licence, we were told we couldn't drink them because it was 'illegal'. We did explain that other non- licensed restaurants allow it, but the waitress was adamant. The service was pretty slow, though the place wasn't packed, and the food, that was available, generally disappointing, except for the chips!

Mavi was brilliant from when we first walked in, the foods quality, good portion size and good price. Well worth a visit
